Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petite Verdot. A power-house wine with an extremely supple texture and rich flavors that are pure and defined. All of the grapes came from Dineen Vineyard in Zillah, WA. The fermentation was long and cool, resulting in a wine that is at once subtle and deeply powerful. It was aged for 30 months in 50% new French oak. As for the flavor profile, it has aromas of crushed black fruit, leather and graphite followed by dark flavors of blackberry and cocoa, finishing with a sustaining warmth. 50 cases produced
Cabernet Franc 2011
A blend of Elephant Mountain and Dineen fruit for this bright raspberry toned wine. It was aged in new oak, a blend of French and American barrels. Classic Cabernet Franc with clean acidity and a spicy character, without any vegetal flavors that some might assume. The tannins are firm and frame the dark berry tones beautifully.
The 2011 Chardonnay is a blend of 66% Benches Vineyard and 34% Copeland Vineyard that was whole cluster pressed before being fermented in neutral French oak barrels. After fermentation it was aged on the lees for a year, then racked and aged another year before bottling. It has all of the power of an oaked Chardonnay but without the big oaky overtones. Instead it is rich and somewhat creamey but clean and pure like a stainless aged wine.
With the 2011 vintage we introduced a single varietal Malbec to the lineup. Just a single barrel was produced of this dark and spicy red wine. It is at once both smooth and firm with bold flavors of plum and blackberry, and just enough acidity to keep it well focused. It was aged in new French oak for 28 months.
This merlot comes from Elephant Mountain Vineyard. It embodies what we believe Merlot should be: Rich, elegant and well balanced. It was fermented for 16 days in open top fermenters and aged for 24 months in 35% new French oak. The 2010 Merlot is a dark wine with notes of blackberry and cassis that are highlighted by soft rich tannins. It drinks like really classy Cabernet Sauvignon. Just 97 cases produced
The 2011 mourvedre is from Benches Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills. This rhone varietal is best known for its spicy contribution to syrah blends but we felt it was great on its own. The wine is loaded with aromas of white pepper and crushed berries and the texture is soft and silky. It’s a medium full bodied wine with flavors of raspberry and black cherry framed by smooth tannins that last through the long finish.
Petite Verdot 2011
100% Petite Verdot from Dineen Vineyard, this wine is dark and inky with blackberry and cassis notes framed with firm tannins. This is not to say it’s a hard wine, just that it is powerful and focused while retaining an elegant feel. It was aged in 100% new French oak to add structure and at the same time soften tannins. Petite Verdot is not a varietal that gets bottled on its own too often but when it’s this good we felt obligated.

Grenache Rose 2011
The rose we produced in the 2011 vintage was made in the same manner that we’d do a white wine. Whole cluster pressed with only an hour of skin contact to develop the beautiful color. It spent its entire life after that aging in stainless steel tanks to retain the freshness and bright berry flavors. It is very dry with an warm earthy tone to it.
100% Semillon from Dineen vineyard. This Semillon was barrel fermented in neutral French oak where it was then aged for 15 months. It has bright floral aromas are followed by clean flavors of melon and citrus. Nicely balanced acid helps focus the richness of the wine, and the barrel fermentation adds weight for a well-balanced white wine that is sure to please. 30 cases produced.
100% Syrah aged in 500 liter puncheons, 1/3 of which were new. It has sublime texture with nuanced flavors of raspberry and cocoa and a hint of oak that balances out the acid and tannins. Washington has become well known for its Syrah, and we really like the grapes we get from the western part of the Yakima Valley, as they retain acidity that helps keep the rich flavors focused. 175 cases produced
A blend of 85% Viognier and 15% Marsanne from Sugar Loaf Vineyard in Wapato. The Viognier was fermented and aged in stainless steel to retain its fresh nature, while the Marsanne was barrel fermented in neutral French oak to develop a rich creamy texture and add weight. The resulting wine is crisp and lively with citrus tones and a rich yet clean texture. 185 cases produced
Rhone Blend 2010
40% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre. This is our take on the table wines from the Rhone Valley in France. All three of varietals were aged for 20 months in neutral French oak, being blended after 12 months so that they could develop harmony before bottling. The wine is rich and round in the mouth with dark chocolate and raspberry notes. Syrah gives it power, Grenache lends balance and Mourvedre gives it texture. 124 cases produced
